Darts League

Welcome to the home of the William Jessop darts league.

Here you will be able to keep up to date with fixtures, results, standings and player stats.

Play will commence at 7pm on the 11th of May, each match will be 501 best of 3 legs and players will score 1 point per leg. Each match will start with a nearest to bull to determine who will throw first.

Scoring example : match 1 (player A) beats (player B) 2-0 and in match 2 (player C) beats (player D) 2-1.

(player A) will score 2 points and (player B) will score 0 points.

(player C) will score 2 points and (player D) will score 1 point.

 

Each point awarded will contribute to the league table. Any ties for positions in the league table will be determined by the highest checkout. so its important to note down the highest checkout from each match per player. If the check out is tied it, positions will be determined by head to head results. 

Each player will play one match per week and play everyone once. If a player can NOT make one week they can then play 2 matches the following sunday. Only if it has been agreed with the oposing player. If a player does not show without notice the match will be forefitted in a 2-0 loss.

 

Once the fixtures have been completed there will then be a playoff bracket. The players who finish 3rd-14th will qualify for the playoff bracket. This will take place the week following the league fixtures finishing. Anyone who does not show for the playoffs will be eliminated and the opponent will recieve a bye into the Quarter finals.

The winners and Runners up will qualify straight to the quarter finals.

PO1 - 3rd v 14th 

PO2 - 4th v 13th

PO3 - 5th v 12th

PO4 - 6th v 11th

PO5 - 7th v 10th

PO6 - 8th v 9th

The week following the playoffs will be a finals night. ( 8 players ) will face each other in the quarter finals and this will be 501 best of 5 legs. 

(QF1) - PO1 vs PO4 and (QF2) - PO2 vs PO3. The winners of PO5 will face the Runner Up of the League in

(QF3) and the winner of PO6 will face the League winner in (QF4).

Immediately following the Quarter finals the Semi finals will take place, (SF1) - Winners of (QF2) vs (QF3)

(SF2) - winners of (QF1) vs (QF4) 

Then to be immediately followed by the Final

winners of (SF1) vs (SF2)

 

The winning Player will recieve a cash prize of £65 aswel as an individual trophy and their name engraved onto the the William Jessop Darts league shield. The runner up will recieve a cash prize of £40.
